Pinar, a food and dairy producer, has joined forces with the Community Development Authority (CDA) to support senior citizens and residents in Dubai.

Pinar will support CDA’s allegiance in paying seniors special attention in a bid to safeguard their welfare and integrate them into the community. The programme is part of a dedicated initiative providing care and improved quality of life to seniors living alone in Dubai.

To help encourage adoption of recent government directives to stay at home, the producer, in collaboration with the CDA, will be supporting the initiative of ‘Secure Together’ and the ‘Weleef’ programme.

The initiative saw the delivery of baskets containing premium dairy products to the doorsteps of participants of both programmes. The gesture was well-received by the seniors, who appreciated the baskets and welcomed the products that they can enjoy without leaving the comfort and safety of their homes.

Huraiz Al Mur Bin Huraiz, CEO – Social Care & Development Sector at Community Development Authority (CDA) praised Pinar’s support of the Secure Together campaign, and their fulfillment of the role expected from them as a leading company supporting community initiatives and campaigns aiming to protect vulnerable social groups.

“Pinar Arabia is known for their social responsibility programs, in the current situation all the social entities, private companies and individuals need to collaborate in order to pass this with the safety and positivity. We call other companies to follow Pinar’s steps and provide what they can to the vulnerable social groups and especially seniors citizens and residents,” he said.

Arda Cenk Tokbas, General Manager, Pinar Arabia says, “The seniors of the UAE are esteemed and valued members of our society. Their health and safety remain a top priority for Pinar. We are dedicated to easing burdens that might be experienced by them during this period of self-isolating, and the initiative is in support of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) strong recommendation for people to stay home and limit all social contact immediately. Our partnership with the CDA is a welcome opportunity to support a cause dear to our hearts.”

Pinar’s initiative is dedicated to ensuring that seniors are cared for and catered to as respected and valued members of the community. The programme is part of Pinar’s wider strategy to support the health and wellbeing of UAE residents through a series of dedicated schemes and community outreach activities taking place throughout the year.
