Building works have officially begun on the new Premier Inn hotel, which will be located in the vibrant and cosmopolitan area of Barsha Heights. The hotel will be a partnership between Premier Inn and MBT Hotel Management & Hospitality, it will be MBT’s first ever expansion into the hotel industry.

Due for completion during the last quarter of 2021, Premier Inn Barsha Heights will be the ninth UAE property for the UK-based brand, delivering great value stays in excellent locations across the Emirates. The mid-market hotel brand prides itself on its British hospitality, high quality product and good night guaranteed promise, all whilst remaining a budget-friendly option for travellers from around the globe.

The new hotel will contain 219 rooms covering 14,450sqm and will feature a licensed bar, restaurant, pool, gym and a Costa Coffee, the perfect addition in the bustling neighbourhood for residents and tourists alike.

With more than 800 hotels across the UK and Germany and 10 hotels in the Middle East, Premier Inn will be bringing its vast and extensive experience in the industry to the Barsha Heights area.

The new location will have a strong focus on sustainability, featuring solar panels, a grey water system and LED lighting throughout the building. The pioneering materials being used on the building’s façade will help reduce the hotel’s energy consumption.

As well as Premier Inn, MBT Hotel Management & Hospitality has also appointed Al Guhrair CEW as Contractor for the project, JT & Partners as the Architects and Al Mansoury InShield International Consultancy, led by Shady Ateem as the Project Managers.

Adam Nicholls, Managing Director for Premier Inn Middle East said: “We are delighted to be working with MBT Hotel Management & Hospitality on its first venture into the hotel industry. One fine example is Premier Inn in Barsha Heights, where, as a Lead Designer, we applied our industry expertise and knowledge to use flexibility and adaptability to design solutions, such as incorporating specific considerations in our design and specifying façade materials that will reduce energy consumption and thereby lower operating cost. We are proud to be part of this project and we look forward taking care of it on-site.”
