Abu Dhabi’s ‘The Fountains’ now offers more plant-based options

Black Tap’s Impossible Burger

Abu Dhabi’s casual dining destination The Fountain, located between Yas Mall, Clymb and Ferrari World, is now offering more vegan and vegetarian options.

Black Tap
Guests can now try the UAE’s first-ever Impossible Burger, made using the world-famous plant based meat replacement. Meanwhile, the Vegan Burger comes with a special sauce and vegan bun, while the veggie option is completed by the addition of cheese and Black Tap’s signature mayo.

Finally, to finish things on a sweet note, the new Vegan Cakeshake is created with soy-based chocolate shake, vanilla frosting made from almond milk, chocolate chips and topped with a black-and-white cake made with apple sauce.

Burger Fuel
Two kinds of gourmet vegetarian burgers are available, The Beyond Beleaf burger features a plant-based patty with melted vegan cheddar, salad and the signature BurgerFuel vegan aioli , while the V8 Vegan stars crumbed pumpkin, carrot, chickpea and ginger bites, melted vegan provolone, miso pea mash, raw grated beetroot. These treats are free from GMOs, gluten, dairy and are also naturally high in iron and protein.

Café Bateel
The signature Superfood Bowl is totally vegan friendly and boasts a wholesome mix of quinoa, lentils, beetroot, butternut squash, baby spinach, kale and broccoli, and comes topped with mixed seeds, walnuts and avocado dressing.

Another totally plant-based option is the Green Bowl, offering a delicious mix of quinoa, greens, peas, asparagus, avocado, broccoli, tomatoes, French beans, mixed seeds and moringa dressing.

Additionally, Bateel offers a selection of vegan soups  served with freshly baked bread (gluten-free available on request) and salads made with signature dressings.

Al Fanar
Emirati restaurant Al Fanar specialises in creating salad bowls filled with crunchy vegetables and quality ingredients. Of the many highlights on the menu some of the best wholesome bowls are the Salatat Jarjeer mix of rocket and cucumber, the Salatat Al Fanar, featuring seasonal fresh mixed vegetables and topped off with signature Al Fanar dressing, and finally the Salatat Hamba Wa Jarjeer, starring fresh rocket, sweet mangos and tomatoes.

Plus, to add some extra vitamins and goodness, guests can also add a fresh orange, mango, pineapple or watermelon juice to their meal.

Yu Shang Fang
Guests who are in the mood for Chinese food should head over to casual outlet Yu Shang Fang. The feel-good, comforting dishes also cater for vegetarians and include the Deep-Fried Tofu, Stir-Fried Mushrooms and Long Beans.
