Asador de Aranda, a restaurant founded in the heart of Spain, has now opened its doors in the UAE.

A renowned Spanish institution, the venue is known to have hosted everyone from Royalty and government officials to celebrities like Daisy Ridley and Ragheb Alama.

The star of the restaurant is the ‘el cuarto de asado’, a tantalising dish consisting of roasted suckling lamb leg made in a wood-fired oven. Asador meaning ‘roasting restaurant,’ guests will be able to savour a happy marriage between the past and present in Spanish cuisine and gastronomy.

The restaurant, located at The Address Downtown Dubai, offers a typical menu consisting of mainstays such as lamb and a selection of vegetable and Castilian starters with the Torta de Aranda, a fluffy bread made of olive oil and wheat flour.

However, Asador de Aranda’s most popular dish is the Roasted Suckling Lamb Leg. Cooked in wood-fired ovens, the meat is sourced from the Churra sheep, a breed specific and unique to the Castilla region in Spain. The use of manual ovens to cook meat dates back to 4000 BC.

Diners can also enjoy a selection of meat-based dishes from spareribs and grilled entrecote steak to lamb chops and kidneys. Those who prefer vegetarian food are also catered to with a selection of dishes such as refreshing gazpacho, an aromatic vegetable stew and roasted red peppers.

Guests can finish their Spanish affair on a sweet note with Asador de Aranda’s desserts and Rosquillas which are traditional small sweet pastries that make for an indulgent ending to any meal.

The restaurant will be open, until November 14, from 6pm to 12am, and from November 15, from 1pm until 12am
