“Tourism in the Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the active sectors endowed with developed infrastructure thanks to the great interest of the Government”, said Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani.

He pointed out that openness with the State of Israel would contribute in the future to a greater revitalisation of the tourism movement between the two countries, in a way that meets aspirations and serves their common interests.

Al Zayani made the statement during the signing of a memorandum of understanding, in the presence of the Israeli Minister of Tourism Orit Farkash-Hacohen

He stressed Bahrain’s great efforts to upgrade the tourism sector and provide it with the elements that would enhance the Kingdom’s standing.

“The tourism openness with the State of Israel within the framework of the declaration of support for peace concluded between the two parties will have a great impact on enriching the tourism sector and supporting it between the two countries”, he said.

The Israeli minister praised the reputation enjoyed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of tourism, stressing that the cooperation of the two countries in this field would open more prospects for joint work, looking forward to cooperation and joint projects in the coming period.
