Zuma to Launch First-Ever Pop-Up Restaurant in Germany, in Collaboration with Rocco Forte Hotels

The Charles Hotel is thrilled to announce the up-coming debut of Zuma, the renowned global luxury restaurant and lifestyle group, in Munich.

Set to open on May 31st 2024, Zuma’s seasonal pop-up restaurant will be located in the premises of the hotel’s restaurant, including the picturesque terrace of the esteemed Rocco Forte Hotel and will form part of the exciting summer seasonal eventing programme in Munich.

The Charles Hotel is Rocco Forte’s figurehead in the Bavarian state capital in a unique, central location. The hotel attracts guests with an atmosphere of relaxed luxury and a gastronomy surrounded by greenery with a view of the Old Botanical Garden.  “I am delighted to be working with Rainer Becker and proud to be hosting his extraordinary Zuma brand at The Charles Hotel in Munich” says Sir Rocco Forte, Chief Executive and Chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels about the partnership.

Co-Founder and Creator of Zuma, Rainer Becker, commented on this milestone collaboration “It is a true honour to launch Zuma for the first time in Germany, alongside our esteemed partners, Rocco Forte Hotels. We are thrilled to become part of the heart of Munich and share our Zuma experience with the city.”

This three-month-long culinary experience will transport guests to the culinary heights of Japan. Zuma will bring a flavour of its award-winning contemporary Japanese cuisine, and signature informal izakaya dining concept to Munich. A Robata Grill will form a theatrical  

centrepiece for terrace dining, allowing guests to experience the beating heart of Zuma’s cuisine.

Guests will be able to enjoy the full selection of Zuma’s award-winning, world-class signature dishes, Spicy Beef Tenderloin with Sesame; and Grilled Seabass with Chilli and Ginger, accompanied by an innovative range of drinks designed perfectly to complement the award-winning cuisine.

Since its inception in London in 2002, Zuma has expanded its presence to 23 destinations worldwide. This new venture in Munich marks another significant milestone for the brand, following the successful openings in Rome in 2016 and a pop-up concept in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, and more recently Cannes.

Zuma’s Munich pop-up at The Charles Hotel promises to be an unforgettable culinary journey, combining the finest Japanese cuisine with the elegance and charm of Rocco Forte Hotels. Further updates and announcements will be planned as Zuma prepares to make its mark on the vibrant city of Munich.
