Marking the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah has announced a weekend of celebrations at LAO, between Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd January.

Guests are invited to celebrate the start of the Year of the Rabbit, a symbol of kindness, courage, and strength, with a special four-course menu featuring Guangdong Stuffed Youtiao, Pelmeni Chicken Dumpling, Guay Tiaw Ped (noodle soup with grilled duck breast), salmon wrapped in lotus and Sum-Sum Klepon with Lapis priced at AED 299 per person and AED499 with wine pairing.

On Saturday, 21st January, guests can delight in special festivities and enjoy a traditional lion dance from 6:00pm -6:30pm, to fully immerse themselves in Chinese culture.

The venue offers an authentic and truly unforgettable dining experience in a relaxed yet vibrant setting,

with both indoor and al fresco seating overlooking the hotel’s central gardens. For groups looking for the perfect place to celebrate Lunar New Year, LAO also has a spacious and creatively designed private dining room, available for intimate parties and dinners.

Diners can indulge in a foodie trip curated by Chef Bayu Fidiyanto, Chef de Cuisine at LAO, who has worked in the culinary industry for over 20 years, leading large scale projects across highly acclaimed international restaurants. LAO elevates traditional Southeast Asian cuisine by fusing traditional cooking techniques with modern presentations developing unique flavours and sensory experiences.
