Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi-based investment and development company, will be participating at Farnborough International Airshow held in the United Kingdom between 14-20 July 2014. Four group companies within the aerospace and defense services sectors are attending the show, including Piaggio Aero, AMMROC (Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center), Strata Manufacturing and Sanad Aero Solutions, giving them an opportunity to create new prospects for future partnerships.

Piaggio Aero will be showcasing its state-of-the-art P.1HH HammerHead, a multi-purpose Unmanned Aerial System designed for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, and the Avanti EVO, Piaggio Aero’s new version of its iconic P.180 Avanti aircraft. The Avanti EVO is the fastest, most advanced executive/multi-utility turboprop aircraft in the world, offering the speed of a light/mid-size jet. Also presented at the Piaggio Aero’s chalet will be the Multi-Patrol Aircraft (MPA), newly designed to meet the need for a robust and high-tech solution for land, coastal, maritime and offshore security.

Commenting on Mubadala’s participation at Farnborough, Homaid Al Shemmari, CEO of Aerospace and Engineering Services at Mubadala, said: “Farnborough offers our participating companies an international platform to meet with industry leading organizations and discuss existing and future collaboration and partnership. This exhibition is also an opportunity to showcase our capabilities, product offerings and services to a global audience as we aim to build an aerospace and defense services industry for Abu Dhabi.”
