Lindsey joins Turner & Townsend in the capacity of Associate Director and Sustainability Lead for the Middle East region. In his new role, he will drive the implementation of Net Zero thinking across Turner & Townsend’s Middle East business, and will support clients and their stakeholders, in devising durable and cost-effective strategies to reach their Net Zero ambitions.

Lindsey has over 15 years’ experience working in the built environment across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific. A Chartered Engineer and experienced leader in sustainable design and strategy development, he has provided expert expertise across key programmes and initiatives, such as the London 2012 Olympics, Msheireb Downtown Doha, Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi, and Saudi National Bank Headquarters.

Over the years, Lindsey has supported various authorities and developers, in the creation and implementation of sustainability policies and has experience in leading the development of sustainable infrastructure solutions, across multiple, high profile masterplan developments.

Commenting on his appointment, Lindsey said: “I’m thrilled to join Turner & Townsend’s Middle East team and I look forward to working closely with our key clients to drive the Net Zero agenda in the region. It is clear to see that we are at a critical point in human history, there is a huge potential for reducing climate impacts within our industry and now is the time for us to act. Within my new role, I plan to play my part in delivering a commitment to transformational change across the wider industry.”

With the continued drive to commit to tougher action on climate change, there is an expectation that the construction industry must do its part. From ‘green’ design solutions, to optimise logistics processes and energy efficient operational assets, the construction industry is gradually becoming more sustainable despite many conflicting goals and complex challenges.

Commenting on his appointment, Regional Managing Director Alan Talabani said: “I’m delighted to welcome Lindsey to our regional business. Our mission is to support our clients to deliver their net-zero agenda, reduce the overall climate impact, and thrive in the future low-carbon marketplace. Lindsey will drive our Middle East sustainability and net zero proposition, to provide viable solutions that help our clients achieve robust, resilient and ultimately Net Zero business operations.”
