Mohamed Abdulla Al Salami, Chairman of the Fujairah Department of Civil Aviation, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), affirmed that the UAE is committed to developing a pioneering infrastructure and legislation in the field of advanced air mobility that meets its ambitions, vision and strategic objectives, and sets an exemplary model in this important sector.

In a statement issued by the Authority on the UAE’s participation in the exhibition accompanying the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) first Advanced Air Mobility Symposium (AAM 2024) in Montreal, Canada, Al Salami praised the outstanding organisation of the UAE pavilion at the event, which highlighted the country’s leadership in the field of advanced air mobility.

He added that the UAE Pavilion includes 16 key participants from government entities and national and foreign organisations operating in the UAE and witnessed a remarkable turnout of more than 1,600 visitors during the first day of the exhibition.

He noted that the UAE is keen to share its experience and regulatory approach to build a more integrated and effective global sector in the field of advanced air mobility.
