TECOM Group has secured 12 new LEED certifications, elevating its total to 55 certified buildings and pushing 55% of its commercial space into the green building category

TECOM Group PJSC, a strategic driver of Dubai’s knowledge economy and leading owner and operator of business districts, has reaffirmed its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitment with a significant green building achievement: 55% of the gross leasable area (GLA) across its Commercial portfolio is now LEED-certified.
The milestone follows the successful awarding of 12 new LEED certifications during H1 2025 by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), bringing TECOM Group’s total number of LEED-certified office buildings to 55. The certifications highlight the Group’s continued investment in sustainability, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and its long-term vision to create value for customers, colleagues, and the wider community.
“Commercial workspaces are instrumental in shaping the urban future, and engineering excellence is vital to designing workspaces where the world’s brightest minds thrive and excel,” said Haif Zamzam, Executive Vice President of Strategy & Marketing and Chair of the ESG Committee at TECOM Group PJSC. “Our sustainability efforts are geared to make TECOM Group’s business districts and their customers’ operations more environment-friendly, setting new standards for value chains in vital economic sectors such as technology, media, design, and science. The LEED recognitions showcase the success of our ESG strategy and the appeal of our districts to global investors and businesses pursuing sustainable growth.”
The new certifications span several of TECOM Group’s flagship business districts, including:
- Dubai Internet City – six certifications, including Phase 2 of Innovation Hub and in5 Tech
- Dubai Production City – in5 Media
- Dubai Design District (d3) – in5 Design
- Dubai Industrial City – four additional office buildings
The Group’s growing LEED portfolio encompasses Platinum, Gold, and Silver accreditations, supporting over 12,200 customers and 137,000 professionals across 10 vibrant districts.
This recognition builds on the success of TECOM Group’s Energy Retrofit Project, acknowledged by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, which has led to annual energy savings of 11.8% over the last two years. The initiative exemplifies the Group’s focus on energy efficiency, smart engineering, and operational excellence.
“The benefits of environmental efficiency investments extend beyond numbers and reaffirm the power of engineering innovation as a catalyst for sustainable growth,” said Abdulla Bahroozyan, Executive Vice President of Engineering at TECOM Group PJSC. “Sustainability efforts are an institutional goal and a collective responsibility that empower both individuals and businesses within our ecosystems. TECOM Group’s commitment to sustainability is embedded in our business ethos and the recently achieved LEED certifications reaffirm our focus on aligning operational acumen with environmental stewardship.”
With 95% portfolio occupancy and a 22% YoY rise in net profit (AED 737 million) in H1 2025, TECOM Group’s ESG-focused growth strategy is clearly resonating with global businesses seeking future-ready, responsible real estate solutions.
