Space42 has confirmed that its Thuraya-4 satellite is approaching service readiness, marking a major step in expanding its satellite communications footprint across more than 25 countries

Space42 has confirmed that its Thuraya-4 satellite, launched earlier this year, is nearing commercial readiness, paving the way for official service activation in the coming period. The satellite will significantly enhance the company’s communications network, extending coverage across more than 25 countries.
According to Sulaiman Al Ali, Chief Commercial Officer at Space42, Thuraya-4 represents a significant milestone in the company’s long-term strategy to build an advanced satellite communications infrastructure that supports regional and global connectivity.
Al Ali also confirmed the successful assembly of Foresight-3, Foresight-4, and Foresight-5 — three radar satellites built within the UAE. These are part of a broader plan to launch a constellation of seven radar satellites, aimed at enhancing Earth observation, security, and surveillance capabilities.
Space42 currently offers over 14 advanced products and technological solutions serving both commercial and national security sectors. As part of its presence at GITEX Global 2025, the company is also showcasing a self-driving vehicle prototype designed to transform conventional vehicles into autonomous ones. The system features next-generation safety technologies that surpass existing market standards, reflecting Space42’s commitment to innovation across both space and terrestrial mobility.
