The Lux Collective’s award-winning resorts in Mauritius have unveiled an exciting line-up of festivities to help guests plan and celebrate life this festive season. For an extraordinary stay, LUX* Grand Baie, LUX* Grand Gaube, LUX* Le Morne, SALT of Palmar and Tamassa Bel Ombre will indulge guests with spa, culinary and fun-filled activities – to reconnect with self and one another.

  • LUX* Grand Gaube combines fun and relaxation

LUX* Grand Gaube brings festive cheer along with a range of relaxing and sports programmes. These include pilates, yoga, cycling and table tennis for those who wish to keep fit amidst the holidays. Gourmets will embark on delightful culinary adventures in different restaurants specially prepared by the chefs, including dinner menu composed of caviar and truffles, as well as a sunset aperitif and beach barbecue.

On Christmas Eve, the Palm Court Bar will host a White Christmas Party. While various activities will be offered throughout the week, the Glitz & Glamour Party on 31 December will start at 7pm, followed by a DJ to welcome the New Year in style. The band Tropical Groove will hype up the musical atmosphere in Palm Court Bar, while the Duo Acoustika will serenade guests in Procesco Bar.

For the little ones, a festive programme has been planned! The Kids Club PLAY will be the ideal place to make friends. From 9am to 10pm, children can have fun – making personalised photo frames and Christmas T-shirts, decorating shortbread to taking traditional dance lessons. Besides meeting Santa Claus on Christmas Day, they will enjoy a year-end campfire roasting marshmallows.

  • Spirit of sharing along with art and cultural activities at LUX* Le Morne

LUX* Le Morne offers a scenic setting at the foot of Le Morne Mountain where guests can enjoy immersive and creative experiences. These include a painting exhibition, history of photography, paper caricatures, mandala workshop, henna tattooing, introduction to Creole language, visit to Quatre-Bornes market with a local chef and Thai cooking classes. With the island atmosphere, guests can enjoy a beach barbecue and a champagne bar. On Christmas Eve, Chef Eric Weidmann has curated a tantalising menu combining tradition and finest quality produce. The New Year will be welcomed with a Gala Dinner by the sea.

Interesting Christmas activities are planned for the children. Cookie decorations, pyjama and movie nights, magic show, talent concert, Christmas choir and family photo session will add to their creativity.

  • Extraordinary moments and gastronomic experiences at LUX* Grand Baie

A Winter Wonderland at LUX* Grand Baie awaits from 22 December 2022. Dessert lovers can sign up for baking workshops with popular Pastry Chef Marie Meunier, while those wellbeing-inspired can learn about healthful kombucha with Christmas flavours and blending of potpourri with winter fragrances.

On Christmas Eve, the resort offers a six-course gourmet dinner with Indian and Levantine cuisine at the Bisou Rooftop. The sophisticated Ai KISU restaurant offers a delectable Asian eight-course set dinner and à la carte menu.  Besides a champagne bar, vibrant entertainment, and DJs LP & Friends and Big Papa will set the mood all night. On Christmas Day, the resort will organise a Christmas-themed TikTok dance competition, Santa Claus session and festive face painting for children, along with a Barbecue Party on the beach. Come New Year’s Eve, a Black & Gold Party at the Beach Rouge will usher in 2023.
