Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, has said that Dubai Customs is committed to providing all the operational requirements to cope with the current development and expansion taking place at Al Maktoum International Airport, by putting in place top-notch technical facilities to expedite and ease the flow of passengers and cargo.

The airport has witnessed an increasingly growing influx of travellers and flights since its official inauguration, particularly after Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, endorsed the AED 120 billion expansion of Al Maktoum International at Dubai World Central (DWC), which will ultimately accommodate more than 200 million passengers a year.

Visiting the Dubai Customs’ centers at Al Maktoum Airport and Logistics City, Mr. Musabih said, “Dubai Customs works relentlessly to ensure the safety and security of the community, being its first line of defence, in addition to its important role of supporting the national economy by actively contributing to attracting more investments and enhancing the U.A.E.’s appeal as a prime global destination for business.” Aimed at inspecting the latest updates and developments and directly interacting with employees, the routine tour covered the Cargo Terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai Logistics City Customs Centre, Emirates Sky Cargo Terminal, the Passenger Terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport and Private Aviation Terminal.
