Integrated facilities management firm, EFS, completed the eighth edition of its employee carnival, which took place on 17th December 2021 at Zabeel Park Gate Five, Dubai, in the presence of officials, company leaders and employees from across the country.

Concluding three months of exciting activities celebrating diversity, inclusion and compassion, representing core values and culture at EFS, the EFS Carnival main event celebrated the unsung heroes, front liners. In addition, it focused on compassion, sustainability and a showcase of true diversity. The EFS annual carnival was hosted by the management team and EFS staff to honour 5,000 plus blue-collar workforce comprising technicians, housekeeping and security personnel from 35 diverse nationalities.

This year, the EFS Carnival became a global event by celebrating Carnival Season 8 in EFS companies across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, with the theme of diversity and inclusion touching the lives of over 15,000 workforces. EFS hosted on 17th December a fun-filled day that set a spectrum of initiatives meant to recognize these ‘boots on the ground’, their talent and their tireless service for the company.

The event kicked off with a versatile parade and a welcome speech from EFS Group CEO Tariq Chauhan and the Consul General of India, Dubai, Dr Aman Puri. During the event, the COP26 theme was celebrated with the EFS Sustainability corner. Participants were encouraged to plant a flower and make a sustainability pledge to support the greener future of the community. Touching upon their higher self-actualization, the event focused on recognizing our home-grown entertainers, dancers, singers, DJs, artists, chefs and athletes. EFS also honoured individuals and their families with the Compassionate Awards, recognizing members from all walks of life, whether aged parents or children’s education, special needs, family reunions, or young mothers away from home. EFS also awarded employees who have contributed with their innovation efforts to the company and those who are actively engaged with CSR efforts back in their home country, summing up to a total of more than AED 250k Prizes giveaways.

Mr Tariq Chauhan, Group CEO of EFS Group, exclaimed, “After seven successful years of our Annual Carnival, we are thrilled to witness the Carnival 2021, Season 8, despite all odds. This is a day we dedicate in the honour of our Blue-Collar Colleagues, where the Management and Executives salute our workers for their hard work and dedication and host this day full of compassion and passion. Carnival is indeed a platform for elevating their self-actualization and wellbeing for them and their families.”

The Carnival is the biggest event in the history of EFS, concluding a three-month journey of preparations and behind the scenes to pre-carnival events like painting competition, master chef and the wheel of fortune in the Carnival Connect Live Broadcasts for the staff. The EFS Carnival is an organically curated event with the support of cross-collaborated teams and in-house team capabilities, making it bigger and better year on year.
