Sony Launches World’s Slimmest 1TB HDD

Sony Middle East and Africa FZE has announced the availability of the new HD-S1A, the world’s slimmest[1] 1TB portable HDD. The sleek device available in black and silver variations snugly fits into the pocket or laptop sleeve, weighing 155g and only 8.7mm thin.

To protect data from security risks, the external HDD comes packed with a host of smart utility solutions such as the ‘Password Protection Manager’ that ensures the protection of data, and the ‘Backup Manager’ for automatic back up of data stored in the PC. The software also allows for the selective back up of modified or added data. The ‘Data Transfer Accelerator’ enables faster data transfer from the PC via the USB 3.0 cable.

In addition to these features, Sony’s new external HDD is visually appealing with its elegant design and aluminum hairline finish featuring the signature sparkling diamond-cut Sony logo.
