HFZA beckons South East Asia Timber businesses

A delegation from Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) has successfully participated in the 4th international trade fair for furniture production technology, DelhiWood 2015, held recently at India Expo Centre and Mart in New Delhi.

The event attracted over 15,000 business visitors and 440 exhibitors from 20 countries. DelhiWood show-cased world’s most modern woodworking technology, machines, tools, materials and furniture hardware and accessories.

“Our team got a good chance to interact with the woodworking industry across India and South Asia . It was a great opportunity to meet and interact with small, medium and large wood-based manufacturers from different parts of the world,” said Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone.

“The event that displayed the latest in technology, hardware, software, tooling and accessories was an excellent platform for our delegation to introduce our timber market. Hamriyah Free Zone has a number of famous companies in its timber zone and Hamriyah Port receives a huge volume of timber import so often,” Al Mazrouei added.

Hamad Al Shamsi, Head of Sales Department at HFZA, said that they got to delve deeper into the Indian wood industry which is very colossal. “We also got a chance to visit the country pavilions of Canada, Italy, China, Taiwan, France , Turkey, Germany, USA helping us get better acquainted with the market leaders,” Al Shamsi concluded.
