GOIC Launches A Workshop Entitled “Balanced Scorecards /BSCs/ in Doha

The Doha-based Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) inaugurated here on Monday a training workshop entitled “Balanced scorecards (BSCs) for a successful execution of the strategy”.
This workshop will continue until the 22nd of May 2014 at the GOIC HeadquGulf_Organization_for_Industrial_Consulting_GOICarters in Doha (Qatar), GOIC said in a press release issued here today.
In his speech at the launching of the workshop, Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel, GOIC Secretary General, emphasized that this workshop lies in the context of the Organization’s effort aiming at building capacities in the industrial sector in the GCC and Yemen” highlighting the importance of the national capacity building in the Gulf for the benefit of the industrial sector.
The workshop delivered by Dr. Laila Diab Shrair, Strategic Planning Consultant at GOIC Secretary General Office, with the participation of a number of department managers, decision makers, parties involved in the implementation of corporate strategies, planning staff, employees of institutions using BSCs, various stakeholders in the area of strategy development and implementation, and GOIC staff.
This workshop aims at determining current challenges to the successful implementation of a given strategy. It focuses on strategic analysis prior to the development of a corporate strategy (future business strategy) and stresses the importance of setting flexible goals to clearly guide the institution/organisation. It tackles communication issues at the http://www.businesstoday.me/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/sample10.jpgistrative level and the will to change and identifies key factors allowing a successful execution of a given strategy and a quick review of balanced scorecards (BSCs).
The workshop helps participants develop a clear and successful strategy and understand the need for realistic strategic analysis to reinforce decision making throughout the planning process. It expands the knowledge of participants in the following areas: SWOT analysis, PEST analysis, understanding competitors and parties influencing institution’s activities, revisiting and updating their organisation’s vision, message and values, setting measurable overall objectives, transforming corporate strategy into work plans and developing performance indicators.
At the end of this workshop, the participants are expected to have grasped the necessary tools to develop procedural steps transforming the strategy into reality and implementing a successful plan to set a coherent balance between the work plan and the budget.
Each and every individual within the organisation is tasked with implementing the strategy and the use of BSCs is necessary to manage the execution of the strategy. In this regard, the training will expand on strategic progress, BSCs and various options to manage BSC tools.
