Dubai Trade shortlists e-Services performers ahead of 7th ESEA Award

Dubai Trade has shortlisted the best performers of its online services for the annual flagship event, the e-Services Excellence Award. The Award Committee is currently studying the shortlist and will announce the winners next month at the 7th ESEA ceremony.

The winners are selected on criteria that reflect their adoption of e-Services on the Dubai Trade Portal during 2014. Requirements for success include a minimum 80% of transactions for key services and the number and volume of transactions.

Jamal Majid bin Thaniah, Chairman of Dubai Trade, said, “The ESEA award encourages the adoption of e-Services by recognising achievements in online usage among customers. It also aims to celebrate the success of digital transformation in trade and logistics by making Dubai a business friendly city, improving its ranking in the world’s leading destinations for direct investment in line with the Dubai Strategic Plan 2021 released by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.” CEO of Dubai Trade, Mahmood Al Bastaki, hailed the growing importance of the ESEA and its contribution to Dubai’s ambitions of being a smart city of creative and empowered people. He said, “The ESEA is the ideal platform for all of us to come together to applaud the winners and inspire them to shine alongside Dubai’s global brand.” This year, the ESEA is being sponsored by Al Futtaim Logistics as Gold Sponsor. Silver Sponsors are Agility Freight Systems, Dar Al Takaful, Landmark Group and Gulf Business Machines. Government organisations and the private sector also support the event including the Ministry of Economy, DP World, Dubai Customs, JAFZA, Dubai Smart Government, Dubai Exports, Annual Investment Meeting, International Chamber of Commerce – UAE Chapter, The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the National Association of Freight and Logistics. Media partners include Dubai Media Incorporated, Khaleej Times, Logistics ME, Consignments, Global Supply Chain, Trade and Export, Marasi News Magazine and Robban Assafina.
