QCCI, Tatarstan Chamber Sign MoU

QNA_Chamber_Tatar_08021-(3)Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) and Tatarstan Chamber signed here Tuesday a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a view to strengthening cooperation ties between the two countries.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the meeting which was organized by the QCCI with Tatarstan delegation members , currently visiting Doha under the chairmanship of Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The meeting was co- chaired by the QCCI Vice-President, Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari and Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov in presence of members of the Board of Directors of the QCCI .
The QCCI Vice-President, Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari, signed the MoU while it was signed for the Tatarstan side by Chairman of the Board, Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageyev.
The QCCI Vice-President said that Qatar has achieved tremendous strides in several areas, including trade, oil, industry, agriculture and infrastructure. He added that there are many areas for investment , huge projects being carried out here in addition to Qatar 2022 World Cup projects , a matter which provides major investment opportunities for international companies to set up genuine partnerships with Qatari businessmen.
Al Kuwari said QCCI is keen to enhance joint cooperation relations .
For his part, Karimov expressed thanks to QCCI for hosting this meeting and said his country appreciates cooperation with representatives of Qatari private sector, citing the objective of his visit is to brief Qatari business community on his country’s available potential.
He confirmed that there is an interest to attract Qatari businessmen to invest in his country, especially in energy, gas , oil and Islamic banking and tourism areas.
Karimov expressed hope that the cooperation agreement signed with the QCCI would contribute to achieving greater convergence between the two sides.
